Cheryl joined EMCOR UK in September 2021 as Chief Financial Officer, and forms part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). As a member of the ELT, she is a trusted financial partner and adviser to fellow ELT members, helping them to shape and implement strategic, operational and financial objectives. Cheryl is also the Executive Sponsor of our Senior Leadership Team Women’s Forum.
Cheryl began her career in South Africa as an auditor in practice before moving to the UK, where she spent three years working with a Telecommunications company as their Infrastructure Controller. She later joined AECOM (then URS) where she spent 18 years of her career and carried out many UKI/EMEA finance roles including FP&A, Controllership, FD and CFO. Her personal highlights include; building and developing a best in class diverse and agile finance team that were seen as trusted business partners, and working with the AECOM UKI ELT to roll out the Freedom2Grow initiative, which enabled employees to better balance their work and personal lives and be successful and happy in both environments.
A better world at work for Cheryl means helping to create a more sustainable, healthier, inclusive and inspiring workplace that looks to protect our environment and communities for the future. While at the same time empowering all employees to bring their best and true selves to work where they can be happy and successful.
Outside of work Cheryl enjoys going on holiday, running, reading, playing paddle tennis and watching her children compete in various sporting activities.
